PCMA has announced Gerd Leonhard will keynote its Convening EMEA conference, at Vienna’s Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Centre 28-30, September 2022. Leonhard is considered by PCMA to be one of the top 10 futurist keynote speakers worldwide.
“I really look forward to sharing my thoughts on the future at the PCMA’s Convening EMEA event in beautiful Vienna. I believe that the future is better than we think – as long as we are determined to stay human, and to embrace the future with pro-action but also with some pre-caution,” said Leonhard. “We should embrace technology but not become technology – and this is a crucial point especially for this industry. I often say that the next 10 years will bring more change than the past 100 years, and while in 2022 we are indeed experiencing a kind of permanent VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity), 2023 could usher in an odd kind of Golden Era. Either way, having solid insights (or better yet, strong foresights) of what might be ahead will be existential, as will be the realisation that our attitude actually contains and determines our future. As we see the future, so we act, as we act so we become.”
“We are thrilled to have Gerd join us for Convening EMEA, as now more than ever we must truly invest in understanding future trends, how they will impact our organisations, ourselves and our audiences,” said Jaimé Bennett, PCMA regional director, EMEA. “This understanding will be instrumental in allowing our audience to evolve and adapt. Gerd will take us on a journey through multiple intersections of the next decade with an emphasis on future ready leadership and resilience in the face of uncertainty as together we move forward.”
