AMERICAS – The San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) Corporation has revealed that Stephen Cushman will serve as Chair of the SDCC Corporation’s board of directors, commencing January 2015.
Cushman has been actively involved with numerous boards and commissions during his career. He established The Cush Automotive Group and was a recognised leader in the automotive sales industry before its sale in 2006.
In 2013, Cushman received recognition from the San Diego Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for Extraordinary Leadership and Support of the Tourism Industry in San Diego. He is also past Chairman of the Business School and special assistant to Mayor Kevin Faulconer, a trustee for the National University system and a member of the Downtown San Diego Partnership executive committee.
Rabbi Laurie Coskey was elected as the board’s Vice Chair. Coskey is the Executive Director of the Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice and is Chairperson of both the San Diego Community College District Trustee Advisory Board and the Clergy and Laity United for economic Justice-California.
Candace Carroll was elected to serve as the board’s secretary treasurer. Carroll is an appellate practitioner with over 30 years of experience handling appeals in federal, state and bankruptcy appellate courts.
