The Yanqi Lake International Convention Center has hosted the Leaders’ Roundtable Summit at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Held on 15 May, the two-day forum was praised by Chinese president Xi Jinping who said that Yanqi Lake is a historical place to have enlightening thoughts.
The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation attracts 29 foreign heads of state and government and representatives from more than 130 countries and 70 international organisations.
Yanqi Lake has attracted international conventions including the 2014 APEC Meeting, 2015 World Hydropower Congress, Understanding China Conference, 2016 G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting and the 2016 G20 Science, Technology & Innovation Ministerial Meeting.
Summits including the G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting Welcome Dinner and cultural events and business activities, such as Beijing International Film Festival, and the China Movie Awards have also featured at the venue.
