Tivoli and Arp-Hansen Hotel Group partner for new Tivoli business hotel

EUROPE – The Arp-Hansen Hotel Group has announced another partnership with the amusement park group, Tivoli, to build a new themed business hotel with 288 bedrooms in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The pair’s first hotel was the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center, which claims it has welcomed a million guests and visitors since it opened in 2010.

The new hotel, designed by Danish architect Kim Utzon, will be ready to welcome guests in 2016 and will join the existing hotel.

When the new 12-storey hotel is completed in 2016 is will offer 25 meeting and conference rooms, and 288 guest rooms.

The total hotel capacity of Tivoli Hotel will thereby be 700 rooms, plus meeting facilities that can accommodate 6,000 guests.

The new hotel will be located only five minutes from the Copenhagen Central Station in direct conjunction to the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center and the 510 rooms at the budget hotel Wakeup Copenhagen. Following the extension, the overall congress complex will offer a total of 1,210 rooms.

“Together, we are creating a new framework for tourism and conference guests in Copenhagen,” says Dorte Krak, CEO of the Arp-Hansen Hotel Group.”We are now in the process of fine-tuning the project. In partnership, we will develop and adapt parts of the hotel to meet the needs from guests from China and Russia.”

The Arp-Hansen Hotel Group has been operating hotels since 1961 and is now Copenhagen’s largest hotel chain, with over 2,700 rooms in 11 hotels, all of them in central locations in Copenhagen.
