Thailand’s ‘Test & Go’ entry rules have been eased, 1 April, in the country’s phased return to welcoming back international travellers. Fully vaccinated Thai citizens and foreign travellers from all countries/territories will no longer have to provide proof of a negative PCR Covid test taken 72 hours before arrival.
The ‘Test & Go’ scheme still requires the following fives documents before entering Thailand:
- Completion of the Thailand Pass
- Insurance policy with coverage no less than US$20,000
- A proof of pre-payment for one night of accommodation at a governmental approved hotel, which includes expenses for two Covid-19 tests (Day one and five)
- Certificate of Covid-19 vaccination
- Certificate of Covid-19 recovery (if applicable).
Speaking at the Thailand MICE Familiarisation Trip, 29 March, Nichapa Yoswee, senior vice-president of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, highlighted Thailand’s four-month transition plan to make Covid-19 endemic by 1 July 2022. Thailand’s international MICE industry’s return aims to coincide with the country’s loosening of domestic and travel restrictions over the coming months.
