USA – The CEO of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Sherrif Karamat, has been awarded the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the centre for association management, ASAE.
Deemed as one of the highest professional credentials in the association industry, the CAE distinction has been awarded to 3,900 industry leaders worldwide, representing five per cent of all association professionals.
Karamat is one of 55 association executives awards this summer.
“This distinction is recognition in a way of all of Sherrif’s outstanding work not only in helping make PCMA such a successful organisation but also in serving PCMA’s members in the association community and aiding the meetings industry as a whole,” said President and CEO of PCMA, Deborah Sexton.
A 22-year veteran of the meetings and convention industry, Karamat previously was VP of Business Sales and Services for the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association.
