AUSTRALASIA – Reed Travel Exhibitions has opened its application process for the 2014 Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) Hosted Buyer Programme.
Reed says qualifying Hosted Buyers will have access to the 750 exhibitors from five continents it expects to sign up to the 2014 show, held annually at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in Australia.
In response to feedback from exhibitors, AIME will be increasing the target for domestic Hosted Buyers by 25 per cent in 2014.
The Hosted Buyer programme will offer a personalised diary of pre-scheduled appointments for business events industry professionals to meet with their preferred exhibitors.
Buyers will also receive:
- Flights
- Four- or five-star accommodation
- Pre- and post-touring opportunities
- Professional education sessions
- A complimentary invitation to the Saxton’s Ultimate Event
- Access to the Hosted Buyer Lounge and Pamper Zone.
The Exhibition Director at AIME and China’s CIBTM tradeshow, Jacqui Timmins, said Hosted Buyers should register early to make the most of the VIP benefits on offer at AIME 2014, particularly the pre-touring options.
“There is plenty on offer for Hosted Buyers, and with flights, accommodation, professional education and networking events included, we are confident places will fill quickly,” she added. “As the largest international business events exhibition in Australia, AIME is so much more than a two-day event, it’s a great opportunity for peers to connect and do business.”
To be considered for the Hosted Buyer programme, applicants should be responsible for planning, organising or influencing decisions around corporate meetings and events, business and incentive travel, conferences, exhibitions or association meetings.
Interested Hosted Buyers can apply for consideration via the AIME website, with a 10 per cent saving on the registration fee available for early bird applications completed before 25 October 2013.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts and confirmed within four weeks for Australian buyers and six weeks for international buyers.
AIME, owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau, is a two-day networking event where meetings and incentives destinations and products are showcased to the industry. The show is managed by Reed Travel Exhibitions.
