Quebec City Convention Centre wins five international conferences

AMERICAS – Quebec City Convention Centre has won its bids for five new international conventions bringing CA$5m in economic benefit and translating into 11,000 room nights at Quebec City hotels.
 
In addition to one confidential convention for over 500 delegates in October 2014, the other wins include: the Optimist International 2016 Annual Convention for 1,300 delegates; the 13th International Conference on Nanostructured Materials 2016 for 600 delegates; BÉNÉFIQ 2014 International Rendezvous on Health Ingredients 2014 for 600 delegates and the 2013 International Conference on Age-Friendly Cities for 600 delegates.
 
A spokesperson for Quebec City Convention Centre says: “The confirmation of these five international conventions is very encouraging.
 
“Between now and 2017, 88 conventions, including 31 international, 25 Canadian, and 32 Québec events will be held at the Québec City Convention Centre, thanks to its successful promotional and sales strategies.
 
“The team continues to work actively on signing new agreements and convincing decisionmakers to choose Québec City for their upcoming events.”
