EUROPE – Prague has won its bid for the 21st European Congress of Biomechanics (ESB), which will be held in 2015.
“We are pleased to have worked with the Czech biomechanical society from the very beginning of the entire project.
Local PCO Czech-In helped also with Prague’s final presentation of its bid in Lisbon to the Annual Board Meeting of the ESB, during the society’s 18th Congress.
“This turned out very successful in obtaining the congress,” said Director of Prague Convention Bureau Lenka Zlebkova.
The multidisciplinary ESB congress is attended by up to 1,000 delegates, among them mostly scientists, engineers and other specialists in the field.
The ESB was founded at a meeting of 20 scientists from 11 countries in Brussels in 1976. Now it is the largest biomechanical organisation in Europe with more than 750 members. Its aim is to promote the research, disseminate knowledge and encourage progress in biomechanics.
