ASIA – International venue management and strategic consultancy GainingEdge has expanded its Asian team with the appointment of Nigel Brown effective 1 Jan 2013.
Brown started his career at the head office of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) in Amsterdam. He spent seven years with the association, organising a host of events on all continents and implementing new technologies at ICCA events.
Prior to joining GainingEdge Nigel worked as Project Manager for Singex Exhibition Ventures, the event organising arm of the Singapore EXPO.
GainingEdge CEO, Gary Grimmer, said: “Nigel is a valuable addition to our team as we take on project work for our clients around the world. We now have an eight-member strong team in Asia Pacific, offering leads development, professional management services, in-market sales support and bureau programmes roll-out and strategic consultancy.”
GainingEdge also has consultants and associates in Paris, Phoenix, Pittsburg and Porto Alegre and recently had its professional management contract with BestCities Global Alliance extended to 2015. It also secured a commission with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Republic of Indonesia to write the country’s national business events strategy, which will be launched officially in early 2013.
