NH Hoteles to reinvent the NH experience and build on its environmental credentials

EUROPE – Hotel group NH Hoteles will unveil plans to ‘reinvent the NH experience’ and build on its environmental credentials at The Meetings Show UK, which takes place 9-11 July 2013 at Olympia in London.

The group, which has key properties in Europe such as NH Eurobuilding in Madrid, NHOW in Berlin and Milan, NH Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam and the newly refurbished NH Harrington Hall in London, one of The Meetings Show UK’s official Hosted Buyer hotels, is in the process of finalising a five-year business plan. This will include a brand redesign, further international expansion, brand and customer segmentation and the development of IT systems and websites to boost online sales channels and deliver more efficient management.

“The UK market is one of our most important feeder markets internationally so this is a fantastic opportunity for us to be able to promote our NH MICE properties,” says NH Commercial Director, Global Sales Force, Juliet Howie. “We are particularly excited about unveiling our five-year business plan later in September. We have ambitious aspirations to be one of the top two hotel groups meeting professionals consider when contemplating overnight stays or organising a meeting or conference.”

NH Hoteles says it will continue to build on its environmental awareness achievements, after being recognised by the Global Business Travel Association for its sustainable services offered to guests during their business trips. The group also plans to further expand its ‘Up! For the People’ social action initiative, which has trained over 440 young disadvantaged and disabled young Spaniards, encouraged 900 volunteers and donated 8,367 rooms last year.

In related news, following the completion of a €4m (US$5m) refurbishment programme of its event and meetings space, NH Eurobuilding in Madrid can now accommodate up to 2,900 delegates at any one time, having increased its capacity by 250sqm.

“We have already seen increased demand and interest in the facilities and are eager to welcome more international business in the future,” says Howie.
