PUERTO RICO – The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau has launched a new interactive website dedicated to meetings and conventions in San Juan, in light of winning the contract to host the ICCA Congress there in 2012.
Tailored specifically to the needs of meetings planners and convention delegates, MeetSanJuan.com offers information on accommodations, meeting venues and other information to help organisers plan and host a conference, in Puerto Rico’s capital city, enhancing San Juan’s offerings on meetpuertorico.com, the Island’s official website portal for meetings and conventions.
A centralised portal, MeetSanJuan.com joins in with the other partner cities of the BestCities Global Alliance in providing planners with details and facts on the city, points of interest, detailed maps, entertainment and dining guides. Planners can also obtain information about air lift and ground transportation and send out an online Request for Proposal (RFP) for room blocks and other services using the new site. The site also provides links to destination partners such as the Municipality of San Juan, the Puerto Rico Convention Center, Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association, and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
“The new ‘Meet San Juan’ website provides information on all of the elements and resources that a meeting planner would need to plan, promote and implement a meeting or group programme in San Juan,” said Ana María Viscasillas, President and CEO of Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. “In addition, planners can take advantage of the many complimentary services including organising tours and lectures, ground transportation and more; we are pleased to have worked with the support of the Municipality of San Juan in this project.”
