MPI Foundation Big Deal poker tournament

News

CANADA – Meetings and event industry ‘players’ will be able to take part in the MPI Foundation’s (MPIF) The Big Deal poker tournament, with the chance of winning a US$10,000 seat at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.

MPIF is partnering with Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment, Hilton Worldwide and Encore Productions to produce The Big Deal, which will take place immediately following the opening reception on 24 July at the MPI World Education Congress (WEC) in Vancouver.

The Big Deal offers attendees a chance to extend their opening evening with gaming tables, prizes, food, entertainment and special appearances by celebrity poker players.

Las Vegas Meetings’ VP and MPI Foundation board member, Michael Massari, says the tournament “is sure to be the must-attend event of the conference”.

The inaugural event is the result of a three-year commitment from sponsors and is free to all registered attendees of WEC, but places are limited to 1,000.
