GERMANY – Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has chosen Dusseldorf to host its European Meetings and Events Conference in 2011.
The event, which attracts 500 international event organisers and service providers, is to take place between 13 and 15 February 2011.
Dusseldorfs winning bid centred on the German city being a centre of modern lifestyle and fashion.
Hilmar Guckert, CEO of DusseldorfCongress, which represents seven major venues in the city, said EMEC would “highlight Dusseldorfs merits as a destination”.
EMEC is one of the biggest gatherings of the meetings and events industry in Europe.
