Victoria, Australia, is set to host 12 international and national business events in September 2022.
Melbourne is expecting 9,400 delegates overall to attend the events in the city, delivering AUD $43.5m (USD $30.2) in economic contribution to the state. It also expects 18,000 booked room nights to benefit the Victorian hotel and accommodation sector.
Notable business events include CODA 2022, the World Barista Championships (WBC) and World Brewers Cup 2022 (WBrC) as part of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) and the 2022 National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC) Conference.
The month will begin with the 2022 NCEC Conference, from 4-7 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). The event is expected to be attended by 2,000 delegates made up of school and system leaders, educational professionals, clergy and students.
This will be followed by the healthcare event CODA 2022. Taking place across four days, over 2,000 global delegates will gather at MCEC to study clinical learning, health advocacy, and wellbeing.
MCEC will also host the WBC and WBrC as part of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE), The events are expected to attract over 14,000 international delegates and provide over AUD $15.5m (USD $10.8) to the Victorian economy.
