Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) offers the finest facilities, stunning aesthetics, and cutting-edge technology.
As a landmark in the centre of Athens, MAICC has a total offering of 143,000sqm and a choice of 18 meeting spaces, combined with an expansive exhibition hall and foyer areas totalling 12,000sqm. The Centre’s total capacity is 6,000 delegates, with the largest meeting room accommodating close to 2,000.
Amongst the main auditoria are:
- The Christos Lambrakis Hall (1,960 theatre style)
- The Alexandra Trianti Hall (1,500 theatre style)
- The Banqueting Hall circular hall (650 theatre style)
- The Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall (450 theatre style)
- The Nikos Skalkotas Hall (380 theatre style)
These are complimented by a wide range of break out rooms with capacities ranging from 25 to 180 persons, depending on set-up style. Banqueting space facilities are many and varied throughout the building.
Infrastructure

Show relay systems in the main auditoria allow for the transmission of live sessions from one hall to another. Wireless Internet is available throughout the Centre.
Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is an integral part of Megaron, also known as the Athens Concert Hall.
The Hall is one of the world’s best-organised and most contemporary hubs of cultural activity, founded in 1991. It is a large-scale, multifunctional arts centre with an international reputation for excellent quality.
The programme of Megaron consists of classical music and opera, contemporary compositions, world music, music by younger composers, dance, theatre, cinema, visual arts and, of course, Greek music.
Conceived as a multifunctional cultural melting pot, Megaron is fully equipped to accommodate concerts and other musical events as well as conferences. The centre has a wide variety of halls, whose characteristics and facilities meet the high standards and requirements of the world’s greatest orchestras and musical ensembles.
Since its opening, a garden area of six acres was introduced to the public as a meetings spot for amusement and cultural outdoor events.
Simultaneously Megaron Plus, a multi-thematic dialogue and reflection programme, hosts evening lectures where personalities from different fields present and debate topics of wide interest.
Megaron is a creative centre of cultural activity, learning opportunities, and social development; it is open to all and embraces diversity.
The venues
The Christos Lambrakis Hall is ideal for large-scale events. Its unique construction and ultra-modern technical facilities make it the perfect location for orchestral music, chamber music and ballet, as well as opera and theatre productions.
The cream of the classical music world have all graced this hall, including Greek musicians and major symphony orchestras and their famous conductors.
The Christos Lambrakis Hall houses the largest organ in the country. It was built by Klais Orgelbau,and contains a total of 6,080 pipes.
The Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall has outstanding state-of-the-art technical facilities, making it ideal for chamber music ensembles, recitals, dance productions and other cultural events, as well as for conferences.
The Alexandra Trianti Hall, which was added to the Megaron complex in 2004, provides ideal conditions for opera, ballet, and other musical events. The richly decorated ground floor and hall foyers can also be used for large-scale exhibitions, either as part of the Megaron programme or as independent events.

Other locations are available, such as the two foyers which provide an ideal space for youth activities, a sound recording centre, a three-level underground parking facility and Fuga, and the Megaron fine dining restaurant complete the Megaron experience.
Major luxury hotels are in proximity, with many within walking distance. Additionally, the Centre is close to major museums and fine shopping and dining areas.
The Athens metro system has a station next to the Centre and is 35 minutes away on a direct line to the Athens International Airport.
Megaron is also complimented by a 750-space car parking and a plethora of taxis, trams, and buses right outside the Centre.
