WORLD – Online smartphone applications (apps) directory, Meetingapps.com, has added a collection of Android apps to its database.
Over 800 Andriod apps are now listed for meeting planners and event organisers to help plan and operate their meetings and conferences.
Invenia, the website’s owner, has joined forces with the IMEX Group, producer of exhibitions for incentive travel, meetings and events to launch this site. IMEX will be introducing planners to ways to save time and money through the promotion of the site at their new exhibition, IMEX America, which will be held in Las Vegas in October 2011.
According to magazine Business Insider, Apple has over 350,000 apps and Android has 250,000 apps. With the rate that apps are added into the Android Market, Business Insider predicts the number of Android apps will soon overtake Apple.
