MCI acquires Brussels-based Logos public affairs company

EUROPE – Global event management and communications company MCI has acquired the Brussels–based firm Logos Public Affairs. MCI claimed the move will enhance its value proposition to associations around the globe.

MCI said the establishment of its own Public Affairs service built upon an existing strategic partnership of over five years with Logos and its founder, Fred Soudain.

Logos has a team of 10 consultants led by Soudain, Jose Lalloum and Florence Bernardoni.

The strategy is for the Brussels team to continue assisting MCI association clients with their intelligence gathering, outreach, policy influence, reputation management and stakeholder dialogue. Healthcare, automotive transport and energy and environment will be the key sectors of operations.

“Developing our own public affairs competency within MCI reinforces our ability to serve, develop and build associations with a fully-integrated and strategic value proposition, providing a one-stop solution, or project-based expertise, to our clients,” said Nikki Walker, MCI’s Vice-President of Association Management and Consulting.

“We have experienced the co-operation with MCI for the past five years and adhere fully to the vision and objectives of the company. Public affairs is a key component which will reinforce our services to existing and future clients,” added Soudain, whose new title is Director Public Affairs, MCI.

MCI now employs 1,200 staff around the globe.
