ASIA – The Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has won bids to host three international conferences over the next two years. Malaysia will welcome the 9th Asia Pacific Clinical Nutrition Society Conference (APCCN) in 2015, Spine Week 2016 and the Asia Pacific Conference of the Junior Chamber International (APJCI) in 2015.
APCCN 2015, organised by the Nutrition Society of Malaysia and Asia Pacific Clinical Nutrition Society will take place 26-29 January, with an estimated 1,000 delegates attending from the Asian region. The event aims to promote advancement in nutrition science, research and development through international cooperation to encourage communication and collaboration among nutrition scientists. APCCN 2015 is expected to contribute RM10m (US$3m) in economic impact and RM6m in visitor expenditure.
Spine Week 2016 runs over five days, 16-20 May, and is a collaboration of seven societies including the North American Spine Society and the European Section of the Cervical Spine Research. The event is expected to generate RM57m in economic impact and RM35m in visitor expenditures.
Organised by not-for-profit organisation Junior Chamber International, APJCI takes place 22-25 May 2015. The conference aims to ignite global development projects to collectively improve local communities and enhance the leadership of youth. Held annually, the conference in Malaysia is set tho generate RM 55.8m in economic impact and RM33.8 in visitor expenditure.
