Loews Royal Pacific Resort to embark on meeting space expansion

News

AMERICAS – The Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando is to expand its meeting and event space from 7,800sqm to 13,000sqm, the largest meeting space expansion in its history.

By autumn 2015, the new space will feature a nearly 3,300sqm ballroom, divisible by 12, along with four additional breakout rooms and pre-function space.

“Our expansion responds to the tremendous demand we have received from larger groups,” says Larry Beiderman, Managing Director of Loews Royal Pacific Resort. “Meeting planners have a lot to look forward to as we expand, and they will continue to benefit from our award-winning culinary team, along with the exciting outdoor event space we offer.”

Once completed, the expansion will offer meeting planners a total of 13,129sqm of meeting space on one level, while Universal Orlando will feature more than 28,400 sqm of customisable meetings and event space destination-wide.

The expansion comes on the heels of a year of growth for Universal Orlando, with the opening of the destination’s largest hotel, Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort (pictured), an expansion of Universal CityWalk and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.

“This is an exciting time to plan an event at Universal Orlando, as we grow the universe of options throughout our resort,” says Kathy Cattoor, Vice President of Resort Sales for Universal Orlando Resort. “Each experience our team creates is unique to each group, whether hosted at one of our hotels, theme parks or Universal CityWalk.”
