Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre boosted by repeat business

News

ASIA – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) is looking ahead to 2013 with 40 of its long-standing clients already booking their events for next year.

In the year-to-date, repeat clients from the exhibitions and banquet and functions divisions accounted for over 95 events held this year. The Centre says repeat business is key to its success and demonstrates its ability to not only expand its business portfolio, but retain clients despite the competitive industry.

Datuk Peter Brokenshire, KLCC’s General Manager, says the success this year can be attributed to the customer service and professionalism provided by a committed and enthusiastic team. “We wish to thank our valued clients who have patronised the Centre over the years, particularly those who have provided us with repeat business. The mutual trust between us was the deciding factor in driving past events and it will continue to be the key ingredient for success for more events to come,” he adds.

From 1 January to 30 November 2012, the Centre hosted 1,382 events and served 1.45m delegates and visitors, bringing in an economic impact contribution of RM515m (US$169m) to Kuala Lumpur city and Malaysia.
