Strengthened by the venue’s diverse in-house team of enthusiastic professionals, the venue is committed to fostering better collaboration, inclusion, and service excellence at every event.
Accessible and inclusive events
Backed by a talented, passionate, and experienced team, ICC Sydney stands as a beacon of inclusivity in the event industry. Recognising the importance of creating events that cater to everyone, the venue has proudly launched its Accessible and Inclusive Events Guide. This comprehensive resource serves as a valuable tool for event planners, providing them with guidance and support to ensure their events are welcoming and accessible to all attendees.
From physical accessibility considerations such as accessible parking, braille on room signage and a sensory-friendly room to inclusive practices, the guide equips planners with the knowledge and resources they need to create truly inclusive experiences.
The Accessible and Inclusive Events Guide is part of ICC Sydney’s overarching Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy (DE&I). This strategy underscores the venue’s commitment to providing accessible, equitable, and inclusive events for all.
By embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive environment, ICC Sydney aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and ensure that every attendee feels valued and represented.

Events with sustainability at the core
While ICC Sydney excels in creating inclusive and innovative events, it also recognises the importance of environmental sustainability. The venue is committed to minimising its ecological footprint and has implemented the Legacy Program Environmental Sustainability stream. Rooted in a robust corporate social responsibility policy and bolstered by international accreditations and state-of-the-art facilities, this program supports event organisers in their efforts to make their events more sustainable.
Through the Legacy Program, ICC Sydney provides organisers with the tools and resources they need to reduce, monitor, and measure event energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation.
By implementing sustainable practices, ICC Sydney contributes to the preservation of the environment and the well-being of future generations. As part of its sustainability efforts, ICC Sydney proudly presents the 2023 Menu Collection, featuring 186 carbon-friendly menu options and a 100% local wine list.
This culinary selection not only tantalises the taste buds of attendees but also reflects ICC Sydney’s commitment to sustainable food choices. By providing a world-class dining experience that is both exquisite and environmentally friendly, ICC Sydney showcases its dedication to creating events that are good for attendees and good for the planet.

Create a culturally inclusive event
ICC Sydney has taken concrete steps towards reconciliation and fostering meaningful relationships with the traditional custodians of Gadigal Country: the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. The venue’s second Reconciliation Action Plan acknowledges the importance of Aboriginal culture and heritage, reawakening the Gadigal language of Sydney, and creating a welcoming space for First Nations Peoples.
The venue provides equal employment opportunities and supports First Nations-owned and managed businesses. The venue’s team has undergone cultural awareness training to deepen their understanding of First Nations culture, history, and practices, ensuring that events held at ICC Sydney are respectful and inclusive.
Through ICC Sydney’s Legacy Program, the venue team works together with event organisers to create a culturally inclusive event that celebrates and acknowledges Australia’s First Nations Peoples by including a traditional Welcome to Country, performance, or artwork in events.
