Hyderabad has been making waves in recent years as the tech capital of India with global giants such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Amazon setting up corporate establishments and also numerous entrepreneurs and start-ups calling the city their home. The stature further received a boost with the 8th edition of Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) being organised in the city from 28-30 November 2017 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
India is the first nation in the Asia Pacific Region to host the coveted Summit. The opening ceremony was graced by the honourable Prime Minister of India – Shri Narendra Modi and Advisor to POTUS – Ms Ivanka Trump. Boasting of an astounding seating capacity of more than 6000 attendees, the Hyderabad International Convention Centre witnessed a massive fanfare, dazzling performances and inspiring speeches by Shri Narendra Modi, Ms Ivanka Trump and other esteemed dignitaries.
The theme of GES 2017 is ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’, which aims to celebrate and honour the indomitable spirit of entrepreneurship amongst women. The Summit intends to inspire and foster innovation and economic growth, particularly amongst women. GES 2017 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre would be receiving a participation from over 1500 attendees including entrepreneurs, investors, educators and the likes.
