EUROPE – A new hotel with meeting space for up to 150 delegates theatre-style has been opened by the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) in Vienna, Austria. The opening ceremony also marks the start of a new initiative for Falkensteiner’s city hotels.
The Falkensteiner Hotel Wien Margareten has been designed to four-star superior standards with 195 bedrooms and suites, four meeting spaces with natural daylight for up to 150 delegates theatre-style and a total of 300sqm of conference space, a City SPA with rooftop terrace, a bar and restaurant.
The hotel is in a central location not far from the Vienna State Opera, Ringstraße, and Kärntnerstraße.
“Our new hotel in Vienna, which has been built to four-star superior standards, is our second city hotel project, in which we consciously focus on creating unique and flamboyant design and architecture,” says CEO Dr Otmar Michaeler. “We recruited two creative visionaries: architects David Chipperfield, who designed the façade, and Matteo Thun, who was responsible for the interior, as we want this hotel to set an example for future city hotel projects.
“Alongside the design, the service concept has also been revised and streamlined,” he adds.
FMTG operates in six European countries and is a privately-owned tourism company. It currently brings together the Hotels and Residences division, with 32 four- and five-star hotels and residences, FMTG-Development, and tourism consultancy firm Michaeler & Partner.
