European event centres’ Austrian Alpine first

The European Association of Event Centres’ (EVVC) management symposium is to be held for the first time in Innsbruck, when delegates roll into the Austrian city, 18-20 September.

Venues Olympiaworld Innsbruck and Congress Messe Innsbruck expect to welcome 300 delegates to the event, for a programme that will include Open Space sessions, marketing Rock ‘n’ Roll by TV chef Stefan Marquard and networking at 2,000m above sea level.

The two host venues are among 750 event centres represented by the EVVC, and Olympiaworld Innsbruck CEO Michael Bielowski said: “As very active members of the EVCC, we are eager to host this year’s Management Conference. We look forward to a programme with trend setting topics related to sustainable events, innovative concepts and practical impulses.”

Innsbrucker Herbert Salzmann will deliver the keynote, ‘From obedience to responsibility’. Sessions will follow on leadership styles, hybrid events and social media agendas, as well as a parallel plenary session with the key topic focusing on event legislation.

Participants will also be taken on the funicular from the Nordkettenbahn station adjacent to the conference building up to Seegrube for an evening of networking.

The second day’s business of the EVVC’s 17th management symposium will be followed by a networking event in Innsbruck’s Tivioli stadium.
