Events marketing association Euromic has announced the appointment of Huw Tuckett to the position of executive director.
Tuckett is an accomplished executive leader with over 20 years of global experience in the incentive travel and performance improvement industry.
He has been a successful implementer of business plans and projects into new territories and thrives on nurturing teams and business, making them work well.
The position has been vacated since April after long-standing director Christophe Verstraete departed. Tuckett joins after a long application process saw a committee decide from 56 applications.
Tuckett said: “I’m very honoured and excited to have been chosen for this new role. Euromic is an association that I have admired and held in high regard for a very long time.
“I’m also excited to be back in an industry that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of the members and getting to work, building on Euromic’s already well-established impressive credentials as one of the most respected associations in the industry
Euromic president Hasan Dinc said: “We are delighted to have Huw join our family. He has a deep understanding of the meetings and incentive industry both from a suppliers and a buyers perspective, which will be useful in furthering our mission.”
