CHINA – CPhI Conferences, a subsidiary of UBM, is to launch the Novel Drug System Conference (NDDS), a topic it says is growing in importance in pharmaceutical development.
NDDS China will include a two-day conference and interactive workshops and will take place in Shanghai at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel between 22 and 23 September.
Over 120 experienced professionals and business leaders in drug delivery, formulation, research and development, commercialisation and business development industries from 50 Chinese pharmaceutical companies and 20 multinational pharmaceutical companies are expected to attend the conference. Delegates will focus on the latest laws and regulations, market development and technology trends by attending two workshops, two panel discussions and eight Q&A discussion sessions.
A CPhI spokesman said: “According to the latest forecasts, the global Drug Delivery Systems market is projected to reach a value of US$196.4bn by 2014. The China National 12th Five-Year Plan for key new drug projects has set the NDDS as a key development trend. Further, patent expirations of drugs are also boosting market growth.”
