MALAYSIA – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) has announced two conference wins.
The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis will hold its bi-annual congress at KLCC on 9-12 September 2012. The biggest peritoneal dialysis meeting in Asia, the 14th edition in 2012 is expected to bring around 2,000 delegates to the city.
Also, KLCC recently won the Student In Free Enterprise World Cup 2011, which will be held for the first time in Malaysia on 3-5 October 2011 and is expected to draw around 1,500 students, academics and business leaders.
Since its 2005 opening, KLCC has hosted 3,377 events including over 9 million delegates and visitors, contributing around US$840m to the economy.
General Manager of KLCC, Datuk Peter Brokenshire, said: “Kuala Lumpur is an attractive destination with excellent infrastructure, transport links, pre- and post-touring options and it remains good value for money for delegates.”
