Cincinnati, Ohio has selected Marriott to operate its new $536m hotel in the city’s Convention District, connected to the new convention centre.
The hotel will feature more than 62,000sqft of meeting space, a 17,000sqft outdoor events terrace, and a direct skywalk connection to the reimagined Convention Center. Additional amenities include a full-service restaurant, outdoor bar with panoramic downtown skyline views, and 15,000sqft of retail space.
The 700-room property, developed by Portman Holdings, will be positioned directly across from and connected to Cincinnati’s new Convention Center, creating what officials describe as a “seamless hospitality and events experience” for visitors.

The property will join 14 existing downtown hotels, bringing the total number of walkable hotel rooms in the downtown area to more than 3,000.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2024, with completion anticipated by the second quarter of 2028. The hotel is expected to open to guests that year.
