Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is inviting local and international MICE industry professionals to attend its biggest virtual travel trade event, ‘Travel Business Azerbaijan Online’ (TBA Online) on 14 October, 2020.
The online event is designed to connect buyers and suppliers and is supported by the State Tourism Agency.
Organisers expect to involve 300 buyers, predominantly from China and South-East Asia, Russia and CIS countries, India and South Asia, Europe, and GCC countries and are keen to showcase Azerbaijan’s potential for business tourism and events. Meetings between buyers and exhibitors will be by an appointment system based on target markets and products courtesy of AI-powered matchmaking tools that will suggest leads to participants.
ATB has prepared a four-phase recovery plan for making the transition into the post-pandemic era and virtual communication and online tools are part of its first phase to promote the destination during the coronavirus pandemic.
“In these challenging times it is more than ever important to reconnect and keep in contact with our partners and industry stakeholders globally and accelerate our proposition with TBA Online,” said ATB chief executive Florian Sengstschmid.
In addition to B2B meetings, TBA Online will host webinars hosted by regional managers, DMO representatives and exhibitors.
