EUROPE – Exhibition and conference centre, Amsterdam RAI, has won the award for Best International Venue for the second time at the Exhibition News Awards 2014. The awards took place at Excel London on 3 April.
Amsterdam RAI was shortlisted in the Best International Venue category alongside nominees including Cape Town International Convention Centre, ICS Stuttgart and Gallagher Convention Centre in South Africa.
The award was collected by the business development team of Amsterdam RAI (pictured).
“We are proud to have won this award for the second time,” said Executive VP at Amsterdam RAI, Maurits van der Sluis. “It shows that our efforts are noticed and paying off. Our goal is to help (international) exhibition organisers make their event the biggest success possible and a great experience for exhibitors and visitors.”
Amsterdam RAI is an event organiser itself, as well as a convention centre, facilitating public events with over 200,000 visitors, international exhibitors with 50,000 visitors and international congresses with 30,000 delegates.
Amsterdam RAI attracted more than 400,000 international visitors to Amsterdam in 2013, a growth of more than 30 per cent over the past five years.
