AIME shakes up its social programme for 2015

AUSTRALASIA – A new AIME tradition will be unveiled at this year’s show, with the inaugural 2015 Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) Gala Dinner taking place after the show, rather than preceding it.

“Those who have attended AIME in the past will notice a few changes this year, and our Gala Dinner is no different,” said Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Karen Bolinger. “We’ve shaken things up and refreshed the entire social and networking programme, with a view of creating the most valuable experience for our AIME attendees.

“Holding our major networking function at the end of AIME means buyers and sellers can continue the conversations and relationships developed during the previous two days.”

Bolinger added that the new style of event also provides a more intimate and relaxed environment for guests.

The 2015 AIME Knowledge Programme sessions will cover topics such as innovation, technology, industry trends, the global MICE industry, strategy, marketing and creativity.

“After being named Best Exhibition at the 2014 Australia Event Awards, we’ve heavily invested in AIME to deliver the best Knowledge programme yet,” said Jacqui Timmins, exhibition director at AIME and CIBTM.

“We have responded to the growing demands of the global MICE industry for new business initiatives, and designed a new Knowledge strategy to deliver the AIME community access to the best speakers and education sessions on offer from around the world”, Timmins said.

AIME Knowledge speakers include digital strategist and social commentator Chris Riddell.

Craig Davis, best known for his work in the advertising industry with a client list including global brands such as P&G, HSBC, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Shell, Nokia, Sony, Toyota, Kraft, Ford and Vodafone, will focus on creativity in his session.

Other speakers presenting at 2015 AIME Knowledge include:

  • Carolyn Miller, communications strategist, keynote speaker and media commentator
  • Vinh Giang, presentation coach, keynote speaker, entrepreneur and magician
  • Wendy Mak, business mentor to bloggers, author and fashion stylist
  • James Adonis, employee engagement specialist.

AIME 2015 takes place at the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre, 24–25 February 2015.
