AUSTRALASIA – Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) has signed a partnership with travel management company, Bay Travel, to provide the travel logistics for its 2013 hosted buyer programme.
Founded in 1988, Bay Travel is one of the largest privately-owned travel management agencies in Australia and will be responsible for the coordination of travel arrangements for AIME’s hosted buyers attending next year’s event.
Bay Travel joins its existing travel management partner, The Human Group, as AIME’s contracted travel agencies and the two companies will work together to “provide a seamless travel booking process,” says Reed.
The meetings industry tradeshow is held annually in Melbourne, Australia, and in 2013 will be held 26-27 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
Eight hundred international exhibitors are expected at next year’s show.
AIME is owned by the Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB), a not-for-profit organisation that markets Melbourne and Victoria nationally and internationally as a premier business events destination.
The show is managed by Reed Travel Exhibitions, which manages 13 meetings industry events around the world which, in 2011 the company claims, were the catalyst for £2,807m (US$4,500m) worth of travel and tourism business deals.
