Aberdeen lands biotech conference for 2017

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has landed the International Conference for Natural Product Biotechnology (ICNPB) in 2017. It will be the first time the Scottish city has hosted the conference since the conference was launched in 2009. The 2017 edition will take place at AECC 25-26 September.

ICNPB is a significant conference to the biotechnology industry and attracted 300 delegates in 2014.

The director of ICNPB 2014, Jim Brown said: “Scotland is uniquely placed to host this conference. There’s a joined-up community of individuals and business from right across the value chain, with the vision to ensure that we maintain our leading position in the sector.”

The International Conferences on Mechanisms of Action of Nutraceuticals (ICMAN) will also take place straight after ICNPB in 2017. It will bring together leading specialists and researchers inito chronic conditions and health and wellness issues in which nutraceuticals can play a part.  The conference is a natural fit with ICNPB as there is common ground between the disciplines.
