ASM Global launches new supplier diversity legacy programme

Global producer of entertainment experiences, venue management and event strategy ASM Global, is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its expanding international supplier diversity programme by broadening its Business Incubator Programme (BIP) and introducing a new Supplier Diversity Legacy Programme (DLP). The goal is to foster inclusivity, innovation and sustainable business practices within the company’s global supply chain.

In making the announcement, ASM president and CEO Ron Bension said: “At ASM, we recognise the importance of including local, small and diverse-owned businesses in our ecosystem and acknowledge our impact on the vendors and the people in the communities we serve and live in.”

ASM Global’s supplier diversity mission proactively seeks-out relationships with and purchases high quality goods and services from local and diverse businesses and, since the launch of its supplier diversity programme, ASM Global has assisted 45 diverse-owned businesses with developing their business acumen.

The Incubator Programme offers an intensive six-week curriculum of classes designed to empower emerging businesses globally, through mentorships, access to resources and strategic partnerships.

The new Supplier Diversity Legacy Programme features nine-month classes for businesses seeking sustained growth on an international scale.

Ama Erbynn, VP, strategic sourcing and procurement, said: “This programme is exclusive to graduates of the Business Incubator Program, ensuring a cohort of advanced learners who have completed the foundational six-week course. It emphasises advanced learning, strategic planning and global business development.”
