If it’s super connectivity in Europe that tops your conference venue wishlist then check out the vast Marriott-Sheraton combined offer at Frankfurt Airport.
Germany’s largest air hub, Frankfurt Airport, has one of the largest hotel room capacities on offer in Europe right at Terminal 1. No need to even set foot in the financial capital should your delegates been keen for a quick conference and turnaround. It is estimated that when completed, 44,000 people per day will use the Sky Line platform outside the hotel. The SkyLine train will connect all the three terminals.
Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel and Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center is the world´s first dual brand hotel combination of two Marriott International Premium brands under one roof. It is also one of the largest airport hotels in Europe and sits in pole position between the check-in counters of Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 and the AIRrail ICE long-distance train station embedded in the building complex.

The Sheraton Ballroom, home of the IMEX Gala Dinner
The connectivity is ideal for business meetings, conferences and corporate functions in an area that is the economic centre of the Rhine-Main region.
The airport hotel was initially opened as Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center in 1975 with 555 rooms, before a second and third building were added in 1984 and 1988, increasing the room count to 1,050. In January 2020, one of the buildings was transferred into the Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel while the other two buildings remained branded as the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center. The centre was again, this year, used for the prestigious IMEX Frankfurt Gala Dinner and Awards in May.
The conference areas ranges over three floors and used by both hotels. It boasts 58 conference and convention rooms, most updated in 2021. There are generous break-out lounges offering room for creative breaks and group conversations.
The divisible Congress Center now covers 1,130sqm and an additional 700sqm foyer has been modernised with a new look and feel. Today it can accommodate up to 1,200 delegates.
Typical business at the Center includes gala events, large-scale conferences, trade fairs andgeneral meetings as well as political or industrial summit conferences. Hydraulically alterable stage elements, movable walls, comprehensive lighting and sound equipment, as well as a freight elevator, mean that product and car presentations can be catered for too. All the conference rooms and levels are equipped with wireless internet.
In 2015 the hotel celebrated its 40th anniversary a year when its SkyLoft established itself as a modern, two-floor event location spread over 540sqm.
SkyLoft an open room concept with a gallery and is a good choice for exclusive events. There is an avant-garde ambience in this discrete space where guests need not leave the airport, making it also a popular neutral meeting place or negotiation venue with excellent international accessibility.
In 2019 the Congress Center and meeting rooms were renovated and 2022-23 saw the renovation of a further 500 rooms at the Sheraton.
Two restaurants, two bars and a lobby kitchen provide a diverse culinary offer and the venue also boasts the only smoker´s bar at Frankfurt Airport – Davidoff Lounge.
But why does this hotel pair of twins even need any degree of separation? Well, the Sheraton – the larger property of the two –continues to focus on the Sheraton Club, meetings, connecting people, being a global hub, while the Marriott is slightly more individual and a little more stylish perhaps. There is no separation, however, as to where guests can go. As a Marriott guest you can go for breakfast at the Sheraton – or explore its beer cellar, while those with rooms on the Sheraton side can use the Marriott facilities.
Two Club Lounges (M Club, Sheraton Club) offer extra exclusivity and a 400sqm fitness and recreation area provides space to keep fit, with modern cardio equipment, saunas and a steam bath, as well as a Day Spa Sky Lounge. Following the example of the international airlines, a series of special menus, such as diabetic and kosher meals, are available on request.
