Cowlitz Indian Tribe to host ribbon-cutting ceremony for expansion of ilani venue in Washington state

ilani, a major new venue, located on the Cowlitz Reservation in Ridgefield, Washington, USA, hosts a ribbon-cutting ceremony 12 February to celebrate the grand opening of its expanded Meeting & Entertainment Center.

A year in the making and timed to commemorate 24 years of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe’s federal recognition, ilani’s flexible meeting space will create opportunities to host a wide variety of business, charity and entertainment events. The new space features designs that incorporate the heritage and traditions of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe.

Construction on the expansion began in February 2023 and it was designed by LRS Architects, with Swinerton as the general contractor.

With nearly 400,000 total square feet, ilani includes gaming space, 18 different restaurants, bars and retail outlets and a 2,500-seat meeting and entertainment venue.

The new Center is a unique addition to the venue stock in the Portland metro area. This multi-use, flexible 30,000-square-foot facility is equipped with full production, lighting, and sound specialists as well as customised catering services. ilani’s Cowlitz Ballroom can host up to 2,500 delegates and the 650 sq.ft. Cedar boardroom can be used for more intimate meetings.
