Clarity, the Business Travel and Events division of the Portman Travel Group headquartered in Manchester, England, has announced the completion of its acquisition of UK corporate travel and events agency Agiito. The deal, initially announced in August, has completed following National Security and Investment Act approval.
The new combined business will benefit from a technology platform with proprietary technologies in online booking, meetings and events and rail.
The business will be led by the combined executive leadership teams from both businesses and headed by Pat McDonagh as CEO. He said: “We’re delighted to have completed the acquisition and I’m looking forward to working with the new combined team to create something extraordinary. We’re laser-focused on delivering for our customers and that will be our first priority over the coming months as we begin integrating the businesses. We will take our time and ensure the benefits of this deal are delivered to our combined customer base; something we believe to be a truly unique and powerful offering to the market.”
Donna Fitzgerald, CEO of Agiito commented: “The planned acquisition of Agiito by Clarity is great news for Agiito, our clients and our people. Our businesses are such a great complementary fit and their combined strength will be hugely advantageous to our customers. We’re looking forward to working with the Clarity team and the wider Portman Group to realise the huge potential this combination brings.”
