Lausanne’s 5-star Royal Savoy re-opens after CHF100m investment

Lausanne Convention Bureau in Switzerland has announced the re-opening of the newly renovated five-star Royal Savoy Hotel. The five-year, CHF100m project has seen extensive renovations to upgrade the historic building situated in the city centre.

The hotel boasts 196 rooms, spa and seven dedicated meeting and event spaces able to host a range of events up to 480 people.

The site also features an exclusive terrace restaurant, lobby lounge and Sky Terrace on the roof with 360° panoramic views of the city. A gourmet brasserie restaurant is run by gourmet chefs including Marc Haeberlin and Julien Krauss.

Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourisme and Convention Bureau, says: “We’re excited to be adding to our collection of Lausanne hotels with such a luxury offering for business travellers as well as leisure visitors. The new hotel will strengthen our high-end accommodation offering for the city and we really look forward to welcoming the first guests in December.

“With some great meeting and event spaces, the hotel will add to a rich choice of conferencing facilities within the city centre and the spa facilities will give our business travellers a great opportunity to relax after a busy day of meetings.”
