EUROPE – The Florence Convention Bureau has launched Florence Congress Booking, a hotel reservation portal dedicated to event organisers.
The portal allows organisers to manage availability in hotels and insure reserved room rates to delegates.
The bureau says the booking portal was created in response to market trends that increasingly see conference participants booking accommodation through online travel agencies, instead of via a PCO or association that organises the conference.
Carlotta Ferrari, Director of the Florence Convention Bureau, says: “We are sure it will be a very useful tool for our clients and a great service for end-users”.
Florence Congress Booking also provides a wide range of services for delegates staying in Florence, including a Congress Card which provides discounts for entertainment.
