EUROPE – The Hosted Buyer Programme for the 2014 Baltic-based meetings industry tradeshow, Convene in Vilnius, Lithuania, has opened for registration.
Convene was launched in February this year with 120 Hosted Buyers from 20 countries and 58 exhibitors from six countries in the Baltic region of Europe.
The show is run by the Vilnius Convention Bureau and will be held from 12–13 February 2014 at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre (LITEXPO) in Vilnius.
Hosted Buyers will benefit from complimentary air travel and accommodation at a Vilnius partner hotel, along with access to the full programme of CONVENE networking and hospitality events. Additionally, they will have access to the popular familiarisation trips to countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
Delegates can also now be confident that they are visiting an established event, says the show’s Director, Jolanta Beniuliene. “Last year’s event was about launching Convene, and the Baltic Sea Region, onto the world stage. It was so successful, and we received such fantastic feedback from delegates and exhibitors that we can concentrate on making Convene 2014 even bigger and better.
“As a result of the Hosted Buyer Programme, a significant amount of business was conducted at the inaugural show. You can be sure we’ll be building on that in 2014.”
The organiser has said it intends increasing the show by 30 per cent.
